WHO IS JOSH GALT?

I’m a former sponsored whitewater athlete and sports/lifestyle model (Nike, Adidas, Men’s Health, etc), and I’m grateful to have traveled extensively in more than 70 countries. I’ve been living as a #GlobalNomad for nearly 2 decades now, since long before hashtags were even a thing.

I split my time between Latin America and the booming ASEAN region of Asia, with boots on the ground in as many other new locations as I can each year.

I transitioned from a life of scouring the planet exploring epic whitewater rivers, to my current focus on a sector that is equally global but with exponentially more upside potential: Insects as Food, Feed, & Nutrient Upcycling.

In 2020, in conjunction with Sibu® I co-founded Point68 Insect Beauty, the world’s first high-end cosmetic line based on insect oil, and oversaw the design and production of the formula, brand, and packaging, which won Best Skincare Product at LOHAS Hong Kong 2021.

In 2017 I created Entovegan, which is now a globally growing nutritional framework aimed at bringing acceptance of edible insects to the plant-based demographic.

Previously, I spent more than a decade creating, competing in, and directing extreme outdoor events. Among the highlights: my roles as the Water Director for Primal Quest®, billed as “The World’s Most Challenging Human Endurance Competition“; as the Director of the first two Riverboarding World Championships; and as the President of the World Riverboarding Association.

After 20+ years as an athlete and pioneer in the whitewater industry, I was honored to be named as one of the “110 Outdoor Ambassadors of the Past 110 Years“ by Gear Junkie, on a list that included quite a few of my own heroes.
